Vincent Torre Bongolan, is a Data Scientist by profession with more than 18 years of experience in technology and analytics. He is currently holding the Sr. Business Insights Manager -II in a biggest private BPO in the Philippines with offices in Asia and the Pacific where he is manage three pillars of the organization, namely: (1) Reports and Visualization Team, (2) Analytics and Insights Team and(3) Report Development and Automation. Each pillars have distinct roles within the organization where we provide support and services to Operations Department, Training Department, Quality Department, Workforce Department, and other Department within the Organization. The Composition of his team encapsulate the real and the true definition of Data Science. Data Science is an Interdisciplinary skill in Statistics/ Data Mining, Computer Science and Business Management. There's a dedicated team whose expertise is building an aesthetic, crystal clear reports and dashboards. A team whose expertise is to make sense of the data and digging in data to provide good insights and lastly, A team whose expertise is to speed up the process of reporting by automating repetitive tasks. Aside from TDCX Philippines, he is the Senior Professor at De La Salle College of Saint Benilde, specifically assigned as one of the faculty of the School of Management and Information Technology or S.M.I.T where he handles various subject courses such as Descriptive Analytics, Predictive Analytics, Prescriptive Analytics, Fundamentals of Big Data, Social Media Analytics, Fundamentals of Data Warehousing and other related to statistics. Aside from S.M.I.T, I also wrote and curated a program course for the School of Professional and Continuing Education or SPACE about Emerging Technologies, particularly Programming for analytics and Data Science. He is also a book author of Research and Statistics and a contributing author in different E-Learning platforms such as UDEMY, Learn Desk and other similar platforms. Prior working with T.D.C.X and De La Salle, He is the Senior Data Scientist and Artificial Intelligence Lead for Innovation at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) where he train and develop skills for Pepper Robot, a Robot that we purchased from Softbank Robotics in Japan. He is also part of Data Engineers who develop chatbot for the bank. They also managed to automate the internal billing process of the bank through Robotic Process Automation with the use of Blue Prism. It was one of the best initiative of the bank to prepare for the worst impact of the Global Pandemic Outbreak. Prior working in the Asian Development Bank, he is the Sr. Data Science associate Manager at Accenture Philippines and attached at the Advanced Technology Centers in the Philippines (ATCP).
